I think that the most important person that we learned about this year is Emmett Till. The reason I believe this is because thanks to him we had a great turning point here in the United States. Many african american people fought for their rights right after Emmett Till died. Because of his death they realized that this was a real problem that it could not be ignored. Now thanks to all of this everybody has equal rights. R.I.P. Emmett Till

    I do agree that Emmett Till was very important! But i also think that MLK was very important! I do agree that because of Emmett we now have equal rights! Marisol is very right.
