Quarter 2, Week 6: Lincoln

On the day of Antietam, Lincoln was a mess.  What would you have done if you were in the same situation?  Would you have done things differently?

  1. i think I would do the be strong for the country and for my family and try not to show my feelings and mix them up with the situation. I give him the props for being so strong that he still stood up didnt fall back. Its a hard situation for anybody but as a prtesident, sometimes you at the country before the family because family always works aout but the country doesnt work out as fast.

  2. Lincoln was a mess of the day of Antietam. I think that if I were him I would of been in a bigger mess than him. He just lost his son. That of course would have a huge effect on any parent. Lincoln handled the situation pretty well. Lincoln, in my point of view did a very good job not sharing his emotions as much. When he did lock himself up in his office and cried for his lost son he was trying to remove and over come an emotion of fear and sadness.I think. If i were him I wouldn't of continued to lead the country when i wasn't at state to control my own feelings, and anger.

  3. being Lincoln for that day , would be crazy. he held himself high and im glad he did that. i would have been a mess, after i had lost a child and trying not to show the world how you feel is something hard. think about it. we go to a school with so many people that have problems and some of them cant hold it in. try holding yourself together in front of all of America. i give hims o much credit. i wouldn't have been strong and would have locked myself in my room and he did do that, but im sure i would have been up there for days.
