The Olive Branch Petition
I can honestly say that the Olive Branch Petition was a significant start lawson Colonial America, including the Tea, Stamp, and the infamous Intolerable Acts. After the colonists became ticked off at King George for all these laws, they had brought up the Olive Brach Petition, which was meant to convince George to stop these acts. With a brash response, George refused to agree with the colonists because they refused to follow the law, in an example (Boston Tea Party) shown weeks ago. George then sent in reinforcements to America, which begun the American Revolution.

Nice job, Ed! How would things have been different if King George had accepted the Olive Branch Petition?
ReplyDeleteAmerica wouldn't really be Amercia, it would in fact still be under the British rule and we would have not had the Rev.
