Little Rock 9
The controversy at Little Rock 9 was a very significant impact on the Civil Rights Movement. This was because the African Americans became aware of racism & segregation in their community. Segregation, in this case, is a very good example of this event. What happened, however, was a two day event where a black girl attended an all-white colored school, which was brought to President Eisenhower's attention. He then called in the National Guard, in which this became a big deal within the nation. Moreover, this was only a beginning to a very controversial time, full of physical and verbal violence.

It was more than one black girl it was a couple. I agree with you it was a significant impact on the civil rights movement because it was the first event the president actually did something and it was a big change in white peoples lives.
