My Lai
If i was in the war in My Lai and my officer told me to kill civilians, i would want to say i wouldn't do it but thinking about it at the time of war and in battle id probably end up doing it since my leader told me to and i wouldn't be thinking about what the other people had told me. i know this sounds awful but I'm thinking about this honestly and that's what i would probably end up doing if i was in a war and i couldn't tell who was fighting and who wasn't in the war. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this way either.

I agree with you it's a time of war and that is what war is. You lose sight of who you are and turn into a killing machine with no feelings and emotions. You do what you are told and if that means you are ordered to kill than you kill. It's the war that changes people, if those soldiers had not been through so much maybe they would not have done those terrible things.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Marisa. It would be very hard in the moment to say no, but in the long run i would no its the right decision. I feel like i could never kill someone even if my leader told me to. I don't think its okay to kill innocent people.
