The story that has greatly made an impact on me is the Norman Bowker story. This story has made an impact on me because it shows the full effects of the war after it's over. It also shows what the soldier goes through when returning home and how hard life is when trying to get back in motion of things after you come from a bloody war. This story shows the difficulties of trying to find something meaninful in life to do for the rest of your life, but he can't find it. In the end he could not take the loneliness and the sense of no direction and he took his own life. That is why i think this story made an impact on me.
