1950's: Women
Back in the 1950's women were supposed to be stay at home wives. Which involved them having to clean, take care of the children, do laundry and make the dinner. They really had no time for fun at all. And their husbands expected them to listen to what they would tell them to do. In a house hold everything usually revolved around the husband. Wives were supposed to have dinner ready for them when they got home from work, make sure they're were comfortable, listen to the husbands problems and do everything else that'd make them happy. Therefore the wives never had anyone to listen to their problems, most of them would turn to drinking because they're weren't happy about the marriage and were miserable. Pretty much the biggest thing in the 1950's was to be the "perfect wife".

The women in the 1950’s were a horrible time for women. They went from working something that they wanted to do back to cooking and cleaning for their husbands. To me they were just house slaves. Some were abused if things weren’t the way their spouse wanted them to be. That has changed a lot in the 21st century because men could go to jail for hitting a women
