Little Rock event

I think the most important event from the 1950's is the little rock nine event. It was the first school to be integrated with African american students and I really felt sorry for the nine kids that were the ones to participate because they were just getting made fun of and shouted at. If not for those kids doing what they they did kids in school today might still might be separated by race.
