American Dream
Gatsby's american dream was to win Daisy, and he didn't accomplish it. I don't think that the American Dream was to be rich or famous, even though he was both of these things. Gatsby only cared about pleasing Daisy, and making her happy. He had many parties but he didn't care who went, because being rich and famous was not something he cared about. Gatsby's american dream was to win Daisy, but he never accomplished it because he was murdered by Myrtle's husband George.

I agree with you all the way about how he wanted to win Daisy over.
