I think Gatsby's American dream was to be rich and be with the love of his life, Daisy. I don't think his dream was ever accomplished the way he wanted it to be. The reason I believe this is because he only did the parties in order to be able to see Daisy; he got rich to give Daisy what she wanted. Gatsby wanted Daisy to leave her husband and go back with him, but that didn't happened she left him with all the problems. He died without his family and without the girl he loved next to him. He didn't accomplish anything.

I agree with you because even though he had all the money, the woman he wanted wasn't beside him and it's kind of pointless to have money but no woman to spend it on. And again i disagree because in life you cant accomplish everything.. he wanted the girl, he didn't get her but he wanted the money, he got it.
