Gatsby's Dream
Gatsby had many things in his life. friends, money, everyone knew him. one thing he didn't have was Daisy. having an American dream is wanting something you don't have, and doing whatever it took to get that dream. Gatsby although he was a bit of a creep to get daisy he went after what he wanted he risked himself and did whatever it took to get his girl. i do think before he died he got half of his dream. he had Daisy for a little bit but he saw her going back to Tom and after that he got killed. He had a taste of what his American dream was.

I agree with Marisa. He did have a dream that he tried to reach. I think that in some ways he reached his dreams, and in some ways he did not. Gatsby was a well rounded man with a lot of money.
